The course focuses on identifying keywords and phrases that hint at deception, and cover stories and potential illegal activities. Attendees will learn to leverage different factors during interactions to enhance their observational skills and interviewing techniques. By applying these methods and improving communication skills, participants can address weaknesses and capitalize on strengths. The training includes analyzing traffic stop videos to showcase effective techniques and allow attendees to practice and apply these strategies in a controlled yet realistic environment. Participants will engage with a variety of video scenarios to review and dissect the presenter’s tactics. Moreover, the course explores contextual behavior recognition by examining how cultural differences can influence roadside interviews based on the national origins of individuals. Understanding cultural nuances can aid in identifying irregularities within specific cultures, given that cultural backgrounds affect individuals’ communication styles. Nick began his career in law enforcement in 2012, and currently works as a full-time law enforcement officer. Nick’s outstanding achievements have been recognized by numerous organizations through a multitude of awards, cementing his national reputation as an expert in his field. Nick Jackson is currently assigned to work highway criminal interdiction. Nick works a series of our nation’s interstates and highways in various regions. Nick brings over 13 years of law enforcement experience and has invested 9 years of his career within narcotics and criminal interdiction units. Nick specializes in criminal highway interdiction and has personally seized 371.66 kilograms of methamphetamine, 851 kilograms of marijuana, 8 kilograms of cocaine, 148 kilograms of fentanyl, $1,268,561.00 of illicit United States currency in drug or other criminal proceeds, and has made hundreds of arrests in connection with such.
