In this older short, Dennis quickly explains the situation around expired hotel room rentals and a suspect. A hotel guest’s rental period has expired or been lawfully terminated the guest does not have a legitimate expectation of privacy in the hotel room or in any articles found therein of which the hotel lawfully takes possession. Moreover, the fact that the defendant’s arrest prevented his return to the hotel room made no difference for it was presumably his own conduct that prevented his return to the hotel. Recorded on 06/26/2017.
